We are looking for a responsible and dedicated Outpost PIC to take charge of our store's operations and ensure the efficient management of our Outpost department.
As the Outpost PIC, you will be responsible for various tasks, including stock management, customer service, team supervision, merchandise orders, and compliance with federal and state laws regarding firearms sales.
To keep the department well-stocked and aligned with customer demand, you will regularly place merchandise orders.
Additionally, you will meticulously perform background checks for firearm sales, strictly adhering to company guidelines and federal/state laws to ensure compliance and safety.
Moreover, precise record-keeping is essential in this role.
You will accurately log, inventory, transfer, sell, and record firearms, consistently following company policies and upholding federal and state laws and regulations.
Previous retail experience is preferred, with a preference for those with knowledge of firearms or sporting goods.
In-depth understanding of federal and state laws and regulations concerning firearms sales and background checks.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work in a customer-facing role.
Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and inventory.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Project sales and schedule labor to comply with established and/or directed standards.
Implement and maintain merchandising standards to keep the department organized, including product arrangement, restocking, and regular rotation.
Verify product signage accuracy and replace computer-generated signs as needed.
Utilize tools like a box knife to unbox and display products, and handle packaging materials.
Manage register transactions, including high-ticket item verification with a supervisor.
Assist with merchandise transfer, packaging orders, and adherence to safety and security procedures.
Handle payments accurately and maintain register funds with counts at the beginning and end of shifts.
This position is hourly and Three Bears Alaska pays weekly.
